KIDFIT: Health Education
The KIDFIT app provides kids with some insight on how to
stay physically fit. It provides fitness tips for kids and also provides
over 150 challenging exercises that are appropriate for kids as well. The app
is set up with a model of the human body so that all kids have to do is click
on the part/muscles of the body that they would like to exercise. After
clicking on the desired muscles to work out, a list of exercises for that
specific selected area will appear. You can then select an exercise and will be
directed to a screen that gives specific step by step directions on how to perform
it. The best thing about this app is that it can be parent protected. To make
sure your little Michael Jordan is not over doing himself you can set up a
parent protect password that allows you track what he is doing every step of
the way. I give this app a 9 out of 10 rating. I feel that it not only helps
educate kids with exercise techniques and physical activity, but also by
learning parts of the body and muscles.
World Book: Historical Education
This app is an interactive history calendar. It displays
historical events for everyday of the year. Not only does it tell you what
happened on a particular day, but it also provides you with photos, links,
speeches, and music to bring that day in history to life for you as well. I
give this app a 9 out of 10 rating. I feel that it would be perfect to use in a
history class for a fact of the day. It allows students to not only hear about
what happened, but with the use of the media provided they can actually
experience the people and places as well.

WebQuest: Best & Worst
Best:
Shakespeare Project.
The Shakespeare project proved itself to be the best due to it's very descriptive group work qualities such as breaking the project into specific parts for student's to research.
Worst:
The Waves and Sound project was found to be the worst due to it's lack of group interaction by containing too much worksheet like questions.

Allows students to collaborate and compile their findings into one solution to the problem. |
Visiting websites to find information is more of a individual assignment. |

World of Shakespeare
|
Student's must work together and are assigned different roles. All roles must do their part or the project will fail. |
Student's must research their specific roles individually. |
|
|
Student's must collaborate to create a structure that is the most earthquake resistant. |
Student's resources are limited. |

|
Student's must work together to compile and highlight reasons as to why their country is better. |
Seems very time consuming, even if split up between group members. |
|
|
Contains a lot of information. |
Mostly individual work. Too mush like a work sheet. |
